BACKSTORY
Prior to 1/1/2025, the SBC hosted its website and membership functions at ClubExpress. If you were a club member prior to 1/1/2025, you may recall that our website featured a login screen where you could renew membership, access a Member Profile and sign up for club events.
In 2024, it became apparent that the club needed to find an alternative to ClubExpress. This decision was not made lightly. By this time, the SBC had already moved event and program registrations to the RunSignUp platform. If you signed up for the Capital City Century, the Sangamon Cycling Series, etc., you would have done so on RunSignUp.
MEMBERSHIP SITE AT RUNSIGNUP
RunSignUp offers a club membership site that provides the database functions, emailing capabilities, and direct links to club events, making it an easy task to offer club members discounts on our various programs and events. Since we were already using it for events, it made sense to utilize their membership platform.
PUBLIC WEBSITE BUILT ON WORDPRESS
RunSignUp ticked many of the boxes needed for our club, but there were still important functions that it did not offer. This is where our public website, built on WordPress, comes in. Please refer to the table below to see features of the two sites.
