11th Annual Springfield Kids Triathlon
Sponsored by HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital and SCHEELS
The Springfield Bicycle Club is pleased to present the 11th annual Springfield Kids Triathlon (formerly known as the HSHS St. Johns Children Hospital and SCHEELS Kids Triathlon). This event is a fun and exciting challenge for kids ages 5 to 13. All registrants receive a finisher’s medal, event t-shirt and refreshments, as well as a chance to win an age group award.
AGE GROUPS / DISTANCES
Swimming aids / flotation devices are ok
Helmets are required for the bike portion
8:30 AM
Mini Triathlon for Kids ages 5-6 (your age on race day)
- .50 meter swim in Nelson Center Pool (one length of the pool)
- .6 mile bike in Lincoln Park
- .25-mile run in Lincoln Park
8:45 AM
Triathlon for Kids ages 6-13 (your age on race day)
- 100-meter swim in Nelson Center Pool (two lengths of the pool)
- 1.25 mile bike in Lincoln Park
- .50 mile run in Lincoln Park
AWARDS
Finisher medals for all participants.
When both races are over and results are finalized, awards ceremony will begin.
First place, second place and third place awards will be given in each age category, boys and girls
Age Categories:
Mini Tri: 5 and 6 year olds
Triathon: 6-7 year old, 8-9 year old, 10-11 year old, 12-13 year old
